We had a chance on Friday to check out student composters in action at the Compost for Brooklyn garden. This sifting party was just one of the ways Beekman Compost is helping provide green jobs for young adults. And as one of our grantees, we think they are doing some great work!

We had a great time at the Jack-O-Lantern Composting Project event this Saturday in Chelsea. With a grant from Change by Us NYC, 300 West Block Associations, Lower East Side Ecology Center, PS 11 Garden Committee, DSNY’s NYC Compost Project, Trees NY and more gathered pumpkins and made some fine looking compost!
